CORPORATE SAFETY & SECURITY PROGRAMS
SAFETY AWARENESS
At Cascadian Building Maintenance, our safety program
begins with our mission statement....

....and our mission is carried out through the work of
our Safety Committee, by ensuring that our "Safety Message"
and our "Safety Training" is constantly and consistently
delivered
to all of our employees on a very regular basis. Our Safety Committee
meets monthly, at 6:30pm on the 2nd Tuesday of every month, at our
office.

As a part of our Safety Training Program, we provide
documented monthly training updates in addition to our initial "new
hire" training. These monthly mini presentations are given first at
each monthly safety meeting, and are then given individually and in small groups
to all of our employees by those attending the meetings. We utilize our
"five minute tool box talks" for these, as well as the more formal
bi-weekly presentations provided for us through our "Safety & The
Supervisor" newsletter.

Hazard Communication Awareness Training
Every January
is "Hazard Communication Month" at Cascadian, where, in addition to
going over potential hazards in the workplace and how to report potential
hazards and specific incidents, we review our MSDS
(Material Safety Data Sheets) with each employee and
audit our janitorial closets to ensure that all MSDS are up to date.
